Sentiment in Spin: Nicky Hilton’s Theo Grace Unveils a New Kind of Keepsake

There are launches, and then there are moments — those rare, sugar-spun evenings where fashion, feeling, and fantasy coalesce. At the SeaGlass Carousel in downtown Manhattan, Nicky Hilton Rothschild unveiled Theo Grace, her debut jewelry line, in a haze of memory, motherhood, and maritime light.

Named after her daughters, Theodora and Lily‑Grace, Theo Grace is more than a collection — it’s a portrait of sentiment rendered in gold and silver. Lockets engraved with initials met charm bracelets echoing childhood trinkets and photo-etched pendants that feel almost too intimate to wear in public. Jewelry not for display, but for devotion.

Inside the SeaGlass Carousel’s glowing shell, guests drifted between illuminated fish and trays of blush-pink gelato. The ice cream — dreamily named For It — was served in delicate cups and matched the jewelry’s mood: soft, nostalgic, and unapologetically pretty. The crowd — equal parts polished and pedigreed — read like a quietly curated guest list from a Bergdorf’s dreamscape: Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Oscar de la Renta, Stacey Bendet at Alice + Olivia, Tina Craig, Bijou Phillips, and others all orbited Hilton, who floated through the scene like an enchanted mermaid: lace trailing, eyes glinting with quiet pride.

Backed by heritage jewelry house Tenen Group, Theo Grace delivers emotional storytelling with a fine jewelry sensibility — sentimental, but never saccharine. There is a restraint in the romance, a modernity in its nostalgia. It is jewelry for the kind of woman who still handwrites notes, who keeps her grandmother’s perfume bottle, and who believes in the talismanic power of things once touched.

In an industry obsessed with spectacle, Hilton has chosen intimacy. Theo Grace doesn’t perform. It remembers.

No Alibi Magazine had the opportunity to sit down with multi-hyphenate Nicky Hilton herself for a one-on-one interview following the launch. Discover her reflections on legacy, femininity, and the quiet power of personal style in Nicky’s exclusive conversation with Joshua Colón.

Tell me a little bit about your current collection with Theo Grace. What inspired it?

This collection really feels like a curation of all my favorite things — monograms, personalization, and timeless pieces that commemorate special moments. Whether it’s an initial, a date, or even a secret message, I wanted every piece to feel intimate and meaningful.

One piece that really stood out to me was the ring featuring a dog. It’s so charming and unique.

That’s actually one of my favorites too — it’s very “me.” We’ve designed many of the pieces so customers can digitally upload a photo — whether it’s of a person, a beloved pet, or even an object that means something to them. From there, we do 3D engravings and offer the option to add a custom message. For my own ring, I featured my little dog Minnie. The design captures her perfectly — ears and all! It really takes up the whole face of the ring in the most adorable way.

I love that. Not everyone has a partner, but most of us have a pet we adore.

Exactly — our pets are our babies. I think jewelry should reflect that kind of love too.

I have two dogs myself — a Cane Corso and a Bullmastiff. They’re total sweethearts. So, if someone wanted to purchase a locket and upload a photo of their pet for engraving, is that something available on the website?

Yes, everything is fully available online. I’ve collected lockets since I was a little girl, and I used to try cutting photos to fit inside them - but I’d always mess it up! Now, with digital uploads and precision technology, it’s completely seamless. You get a beautifully set photo inside your piece … something I always wished for growing up.

That’s so thoughtful. On a lighter note — how did you enjoy the ice cream today?

Ice cream was such a perfect touch, especially on a hot day like this. [Ed: it reached almost 100 degrees Fahrenheit in New York City the day of the outdoors event; one of the highest temperature dates of the year so far.] It was super refreshing — I loved the blueberry and raspberry flavors!

Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with me today. This event has been such a beautiful celebration — and I have to say, seeing you atop that fish sculpture in your dress… you looked like an actual mermaid. I even took a video and tagged you in it!

[Nicky laughs] Thank you so much - that’s so sweet! It was such a fun day. I appreciate you being here.

As the carousel slowed and the last gelato cups were tossed, what lingered wasn’t the shimmer of diamonds or the flash of press — it was something quieter. A line drawn between memory and adornment, between the things we wear and the things we carry.
